By starting these preparation works now, itís expected the site will be ready for construction to begin on the main facility in 2021.

Expressions of interest for the ACT Governmentís design and construction partner recently closed, with submissions received from major national construction companies.

Shortlisted companies will be invited to submit detailed proposals to build the new facility. The design and construction partner will be selected later this year.

The SPIRE Project is being procured under a collaborative contracting arrangement, known as an Early Contractor Involvement model. This model allows for flexibility throughout the design and construction phases and allows both parties to tailor designs to accommodate a variety of needs as the project progresses.
