Planning and construction works are progressing on a number of key regional highways, with constructions works underway or soon to begin on projects, including;

“We are getting these regional projects out the door as quickly as possible to help keep more South Australians in a job and make our country roads safer,” said Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government Stephan Knoll.

“Over the next four years we are upgrading over 1,000 kilometres of country roads to improve safety and help save lives.

“A significant portion of these works are now underway and progressing though to construction which will help support more local jobs during this global pandemic that’s hurting economies around the world.

“While we are dealing with the immediate impacts on jobs and the economy COVID19 is having, we are also ensuring we have a record $12.9 billion pipeline of infrastructure works to underpin jobs in the coming years.

“This record level of infrastructure investment in South Australia will give local businesses confidence in the sector so they can create more jobs.”
